Standardized Testing

 Growing up, I remember taking the Standard Achievement test. I was always worried about how I would do. I remember always being overwhelmed and stressed. I think that contributed to my test anxiety that continued throughout my high school years. Today, as a student I still have the fear of failure.  A positive aspect of standardized testing is that it shows where students may need improvement. A negative aspect is that it does cause stress on students. When students have the anxiety of not doing well, they may not perform as well.  
                                                                                                              January 16,2026 My elementary school years were normal childhood experiences. When I was in middle school and high school, things were tough. The teachers were not the problem. The other kids were very cruel. My religious beliefs caused me to look different. I dressed very modestly and my hair was very long. I never discussed the bullying with my teachers.                                                                                                                   January 14, 20206.  Today, I am going to compare the "5 Cs" in teaching to my own personality. The "5 C's" are as follows: 1. Committed 2. Caring 3. Courageous 4. Conscious 5. Centered Committed: I believe that I have a great strength in being committed. I was a foster/adoptive mom for Morgan County from 2017-2025. In that time, my husband and I have adopted ten children out of the system.
